I like to compare Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Rosé to a pale pink ranunculus. I’m thinking not only of the flower’s pastel hue, but also of its multi-layered, ruffled petals, which suggest this cuvée’s surprising combination of richness and delicacy.

A MINIMALIST APPROACH

Made from paper pulp and vine cuttings (≈5%), Belle Epoque Cocoon was designed to enhance the bottle and offer an organic feel. Incredibly lightweight and streamlined in style, it was made using as few resources as possible.

Belle Epoque Cocoon Rosé 2013

Perrier-Jouët showcases its Belle Epoque Rosé 2013 vintage cuvée in this case inspired by nature. The year 2013 saw a significant shake-up in the natural rhythm of the seasons. The cold winter and cool, wet spring delayed flowering in the vineyards. However, after a dry and sunny summer, clement conditions in Autumn lasted until the harvest, which was particularly late that year. The resulting wines were clear-coloured and displayed wonderful balance between alcohol and acidity
After meticulous blending and more than the required minimum of 6 years’ ageing in the house’s cellars, Belle Epoque Rosé boasts an original and delicate yet lively and generous profile.
Its Cocoon case offers both elegance and protection in a resolutely minimalist aesthetic. Made from paper pulp and 5% vine cuttings, it is fully recyclable and reflects the house’s desire to reduce its environmental impact.
