Maison Perrier-Jouët has invited artist and haute couture fashion designer Iris van Herpen to celebrate nature as an endless source of inspiration, creation and transformation.

The Collaboration

Perrier-Jouët House is pleased to announce its collaboration with Dutch fashion designer and artist Iris van Herpen in 2026. This partnership is built on a shared philosophy that champions nature as an inexhaustible source of inspiration, creation, and transformation. It resonates with one of the tenets of the Art Nouveau movement, with which Perrier-Jouët House has a historical connection.

A shared vision of nature

Since its foundation, Maison Perrier-Jouët has maintained a strong connection with nature through its artistic partnerships and in the vineyards, exploring nature-based solutions. In 2026, it has deployed cover crops on 33 hectares, representing 50% of its own surfaces. This agroecological pratice helps to sustainably revitalise the soils by promoting fertility, water resilience, biodiversity and symbiosis between living species.

It also reflects Iris van Herpen’s approach, based on using minimalist and innovative techniques
to limit the environmental impact of the fashion industry. She harmoniously combines
traditional expertise and cutting-edge methods to promote a dialogue between fashion, art,
nature and technology

Enchanting Vibrations

Renowned for her visionary approach bringing together craftsmanship and innovation, Iris van Herpen has gone one step further with Perrier-Jouët. For this collaboration, she took her inspiration directly from the vineyard and its living ecosystem.

Using cymatics, she recorded the vibrations and energy generated by the plethora of micro-organisms living underground and converted them into visual motifs. These natural signals reveal the invisible forces inhabiting the soil and show how nature, the terroir and champagne are intrinsically linked.

The Art Nouveau spirit

Evoking the Art Nouveau movement, with which Maison Perrier-Jouët has maintained historic ties, the techniques adopted by Iris van Herpen demonstrate how nature is a perpetual source of inspiration and creation.

Her innovative and poetic interpretation of biodiversity also encourages us to reflect on our relationship with the natural world, as the artists of the Art Nouveau period used to do.

The creations

A unique collaboration between Maison Perrier-Jouët and artist fashion designer Iris Van Herpen let to the creation of an exclusive interpretation of Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque, the House’s iconic champagne.

Symphonic Bloom: a unique masterpiece

For Perrier-Jouët, Iris van Herpen created a work of art made from recycled golden metal and silk draped around a Jeroboam of Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 1988, just like a Haute Couture dress.
Her conversations with Cellar Master Séverine Frerson inspired her approach, which illustrates how the flavours of champagne develop over time, in a play of textures that sweep around the bottle neck before rising into thin air.

Inspired by cymatic motifs, this artwork is reminiscent of Loïe Fuller, a dancer and icon of the Belle Epoque period. As with her fashion shows, Iris van Herpen has designed a captivating and sensory artwork for Perrier-Jouët.

Symphonic Life

Inspired by the sounds of the vineyard, Iris van Herpen used cymatics to translate these vibrations into delicate patterns. Echoing the living soil of Maison Perrier-Jouët in Epernay, the couturier’s sculptural sleeve is clad in 22-carat gold.

This exclusive creation adorns a limited edition of ten magnums of Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 1999.
Its scrolling curves bring a new dimension to the white Japanese anemones that wind across the bottles of the House’s vintage cuvées.

The Dedicated Cuvée

For this collaboration, Séverine Frerson produced an original cuvée in limited quantities. Paying tribute to the House’s botanical heritage, she sought to enhance the floral notes and texture of 2018 Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque with a customised liqueur de dosage chosen in consultation with Iris van Herpen.

This exclusive cuvée is a blend of reserve wines from three Grand Cru villages. Its fruity and white floral aromas underpinned by spicy hints of white pepper result in a delicate, elegant wine with a charmingly fine and silky texture.
Iris van Herpen has also specially designed the artwork decorating the bottle and gift set of the 2018 Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque cuvée.
