THE VINTAGE
The winter of 2012 was relentless, and was followed by a hot spring and summer. August brought abundant rainfall, and more rain during the harvest undermined the quality of the grapes. Maison Perrier-Jouët undertook a rigorous selection and devoted the best of the harvest to Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé, a cuvée whose style was favoured by the conditions, and the only one for which it declared a vintage. Characterised by remarkable vinosity, this is thus a particularly rare cuvée from one of the few champagne houses to produce a 2010 vintage.
THE EYE
A pale apricot color shot through with bright glints, and alive with fine and constant bubbles.
THE NOSE
Pronounced, fragrant aromas of white flowers and wild strawberry.
THE PALATE
A wonderfully fresh and lively wine with a long, lingering finish.

FLORAL · EXTRAVAGANT
Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé champagne is the House’s deliciously unexpected interpretation of the category. A rare and precious vintage rosé champagne whose demure, pale apricot hue belies its extravagantly sensual personality, which is characterised by alluring notes of white flowers and small red fruit.
AN UNCONVENTIONAL ROSÉ
True to the free, bohemian spirit of Maison Perrier-Jouët, Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé is a resolutely original champagne which combines rarity with the ability to surprise. Crafted only in exceptional years and produced in limited quantities, it typically blends Pinot Noir from Ay, Mailly, Verzy and Rilly with Chardonnay from the finest terroirs in Cramant, Avize and Le Mesnil. The richness of Pinot Noir is complemented by the floral elegance of Chardonnay, which provides the touch of finesse characteristic of Maison Perrier-Jouët. Finally, Pinot Meunier grapes from Dizy contribute their rounded, aromatic character. The pale apricot bloom so distinctive of Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé is created by the addition of a small proportion (11%) of Pinot Noir red wines. These wines are produced by macerating the white juice of Pinot Noir grapes on their red skins.

AN EXTRAVAGANT, VOLUPTUOUS CHAMPAGNE
Delicate in appearance yet extravagant in taste, Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé unleashes fragrant aromas of white flowers and wild strawberries. Lively and fresh on the palate, with a long, lingering finish, its complex gourmet flavours make it an unusually versatile champagne which lends itself to daring food pairings, both sweet and savoury.
