Maison Perrier-Jouët presents an exclusive edition of six Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque vintage cuvées embellished with a precious décor crafted by one of France’s oldest gold- and silversmiths. Further enhancing this unique combination of rare wines and remarkable artisanship, the Perrier-Jouët Anemone Collection is offered in majestic formats and in extremely limited quantities, with just 35 magnums and 18 jeroboams, each individually numbered, available worldwide. The Perrier-Jouët Anemone Collection highlights the House’s close ties with the Art Nouveau movement, as well as its exceptional savoir-faire in the art of vintage.
NATURE AS A SOURCE OF INSPIRATION
The Perrier-Jouët Anemone Collection takes inspiration from the history of Maison Perrier-Jouët, and in particular from its enduring relationship with art and nature. The House was founded in 1811 by a young couple, Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and Rose-Adélaïde Jouët, who shared not only a passion for champagne, but also a love of art and nature. Drawing on this precious heritage, Maison Perrier-Jouët has evolved for more than two centuries in symbiosis with nature, which remains its primary source of inspiration – a philosophy the House shares with the Art Nouveau movement, with which it is closely associated. In 1902, Emile Gallé, one of the pioneers of Art Nouveau, created a Japanese anemone motif for Maison Perrier-Jouët, which would become the emblem of the House and adorn the bottles of Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque vintage champagnes. A selection of these exceptional wines now composes the Perrier-Jouët Anemone Collection, launching in 2022.
THE PERRIER-JOUËT ANEMONE COLLECTION: AN ENCOUNTER BETWEEN TWO TRADITIONS OF SAVOIR-FAIRE
For the Perrier-Jouët Anemone Collection, the House has brought together six Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque vintage cuvées: Belle Epoque 2007 and 2012, Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs 2006 and 2007, and Belle Epoque Rosé 2010*. These rare wines are offered in extremely limited quantities and in either magnums or jeroboams, which are individually numbered. They are embellished with a remarkable, hand-crafted décor which epitomises the Art Nouveau philosophy nurtured by the House: creating Beauty inspired by Nature, and celebrating artisanal savoir-faire. This creation is the result of an encounter between two patient, rigorous, meticulous forms of expertise. Firstly, Maison Perrier-Jouët’s art of vintage, in producing rare wines from its finest terroirs, in only the most favourable years, and in limited quantities. Noted for their aromatic richness, these elegant champagnes each reveal a distinct expression of Chardonnay, the signature grape variety of the House since it was founded. They represent the ultimate expression of the style and savoir-faire of Maison Perrier-Jouët. Secondly, the expertise of Orfèvrerie Felix and its master gold- and silversmiths, guarantors of a traditional savoir-faire passed down through generations since 1875. From palaces to luxury hotels, royal courts to embassies, Orfèvrerie Felix crafts exceptional pieces for the most prestigious tables in the world.
A PRECIOUS, PERSONALISED DESIGN
To showcase the Anemone Collection and its outstanding cuvées, Maison Perrier-Jouët has created an object that is equally exceptional. Crafted by the artisans of Orfèvrerie Felix, the décor inspired by the House’s emblematic Japanese anemones clings perfectly to the curves of the Belle Epoque bottle. The three finishes (in 24-carat gold) harmoniously match the personality of each wine: yellow gold for Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque, white gold for Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs, and rose gold for Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé. Five artisans, each an expert in their field (cutter, silversmith, polisher, gilder, brightener), spent two full days creating the design. This high-precision work produced dazzling results: delicate floral lacework, precious materials, perfect dimensions, and a customisable pendant in the shape of a Perrier-Jouët anemone.
