The Year
2018
Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2018 year was distinguished by a mild, wet winter, followed by a spring with above-average temperatures.
Heavy rainfall between mid-April and mid-May adversely affected the vines, but dry weather in late spring created a favourable context for flowering. Hot, dry conditions prevailed over the summer, giving this vintage a solar character.
The dry weather continued into the autumn, accompanied by high, though fortunately not excessive, temperatures.
A floral texture with satiny highlights, as fine and delicate as a breath of air. This cuvée is distinguished by an ethereal softness, underscored by an elegant structure and subtle, perfectly mastered substance.Séverine Frerson, Maison Perrier-Jouët Cellar Master
