BELLE ÉPOQUE BRUT

Time favours great wines and Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 1990 is a perfect illustration of this. After thirty years spent resting in the House’s cellars in Epernay, this cuvée fully releases its aromatic richness.

The Vintage

After a mild and wet winter, 1990 saw a cold start to spring with periods of intense frost and a contrasting late spring. Hot and dry, the summer presented record sunshine, which was beneficial to the vines. The rain made a comeback in early fall.

Its blend brings together the best grapes from the most celebrated crus: Chardonnay from the Cote des Blancs, whose floral aromas and finesse fit perfectly with the style of the House; Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims brings power and aromas of fresh fruit to the wine; Pinot Noir and Meunier from the Marne Valley offer a nice fruity roundness.
