This first chapter of Maison Perrier-Jouët’s collaboration with Haute Couture embroiderer Atelier Montex, part of the Chanel Métiers d’Art grouping of specialist artisans, began with a remarkable piece in the collection of the Maison Belle Epoque in Epernay: a walnut side table with carved legs representing dragonflies (libellules) by Art Nouveau master Émile Gallé.

Embracing a jeroboam of Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque in a pair of intricately embroidered dragonfly wings, this extraordinary creation pushed the boundaries of Atelier Montex’s renowned craftsmanship and technical expertise. A year of research was necessary to perfect the delicate structure, plated with 24-carat gold, which was then embroidered by hand by a single artisan.
With exceptional artistry, shimmering glass beads in jewel-like colours were transformed into a décor of insects and flowers inspired by Art Nouveau. The result is a limited, numbered edition of just 10 pieces.

Belle Epoque 1999
On the nose, intense floral notes of fragrant peony complemented by exotic fruit. Honey, nougat and brioche lend a smooth dimension, while subtle toasted notes, apricot and candied lemon enhance the generosity of this cuvée. The palate is distinguished by fresh, almost airy notes, and perfect balance.
Belle Epoque 2008
On the nose, aromas of orange blossom and white peach, complemented by toasted notes that have developed over time. A lively, complex attack and a subtle sensation on the palate, which evolve into a distinctively mineral finish. An excellent vintage defined by structure and great finesse.
Belle Epoque 2012
The first nose is floral, with aromas of acacia and magnolia, swiftly followed by notes of candied lemon, dried fruit and acacia honey. The mouthfeel is frank and mineral, developing into a fine, silky finish. The impression is one of balance and generosity.
