Belle Epoque Characteristics
The complex blend perfected by Hervé Deschamps exalts the Grand Crus Cramant and Avize Chardonnays. The delicate structure is supported by the Mailly Pinot Noir and the harmony is completed by the Pinot Meunier.
"No other Prestige Cuvée can match the consistency of style that Belle Epoque stamps upon every vintage" states Tom Stevenson.
The bottle decorated with anemones was created in 1902 by Emile Gallé, one of the greatest figures of the Art Nouveau movement, and it has become the emblem of Perrier-Jouët and its art of living.
Belle Epoque 1998
This wine reveals a palette of aromas and savours, rich and surprisingly fresh, with a sensual, velvet texture and long, intense finish. This is a champagne that still has a lot to give. A great wine with impressive ageing potential.
Today, it can be savoured alone, for a full appreciation of its complexity, or with seafood, white meat and poultry. It is the perfect wine to accompany desserts flavoured with honey or orange-blossom.
Belle Epoque 2002
White flowers with white and yellow fruit, a delicate, graceful freshness. The 2002 vintage is delicate and intense, reflecting the characteristic Perrier-Jouët style: a perfect expression of Chardonnays from Cramant and Pinot Noirs from Mailly, with a subtle touch of Pinot Meunier that endows the wine with balance and harmony. It has a subtle, silky finish.
A floral and stylish, subtle and rich wine with an elegant long finish, that can be enjoyed as an aperitif or with a meal of shellfish, seafood or white meat. The ultimate Perrier-Jouët style.
Belle Epoque 2004
All the lightness of white floral notes: hawthorn blossom, linden blossom and white clover. A fresh, stylish wine with good structure, silky and elegant, based on the mineral notes of the best Chardonnay Grand Crus. The floral, fruity notes give way to subtle spicy hints for a pleasant finish on the palate.
The best moment: pre-dinner drinks. During a meal, this wine pairs well with seafood, fish and white meat. After seven years' ageing at Perrier-Jouët, this vintage can be stored for over ten more in your cellar.
