Paper Frescoes

An abundance of blooming flowers or buds, winding green tendrils hung with grapes, a façade drenched with anemones, a butterfly playing in a leafy cascade: the frescoes created for Perrier-Jouët by the American artist Jo Lynn Alcorn are produced from a material that is unique: paper.

Making of

JO LYNN ALCORN

Jo Lynn Alcorn sees an enchanted vision of the world, and has cast her poetic eye over Perrier-Jouët.

Everything starts with a scale drawing of the fresco, down to the finest detail. The artist cuts out all the pieces, which are assembled and Emile Gallé's famous anemones come to life. Cut out, perforated, folded, twisted, assembled, it proffers a natural vision fashioned with poetry and virtuosity.
