Act I

The exterior of the Champagne bottle displays all the richness of Nature expressed in the flavours of the Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque cuvée.

For Perrier-Jouët, Barbro Andersson has created a journey in four stages, a fleeting vision captured in a photographic work of art that conveys her own, idiosyncratic interpretation of the Belle Epoque cuvée. The work acts as an allegory for the champagne-making process and the aromas of this prestigious cuvée.

The ultimate quality of the Belle Epoque cuvée resonates with the care and precision Barbro Andersson devotes to her hand-crafted, still-life compositions.

The artist

BARBRO ANDERSSON

Swedish-born Barbro Andersson lives and works in Paris. After teaching herself photography, she became fascinated by still-life scenes. She uses a bold, creative frame of reference that highlights contrast using a fresh, witty perspective. Her work has a strong botanical theme focusing on the flower as an artistic medium and she has a contemporary style inspired by the visual vocabulary of the late 19th century. Her work constitutes a genuine artistic universe with the necessary breadth to accommodate the Perrier-Jouët vision in a truly cooperative artistic venture.
